Amrit Kirpalani

Amrit Kirpalani’s passion is to help people understand how to change so they can live their best life. He focuses on connecting with people for insights on life pathways and challenges, creating pathways to change, and working with others to collectively make positive differences in the world.

He believes satisfaction in life starts with seeking and following a path of self-discovery and understanding one’s purpose. With that understanding, people can achieve a satisfying, fulfilling life based on being true to themselves (the “real you”) and then build on their purpose in life by using their unique contributions to help create positive change that brings about greater happiness for others.

He serves on the board of directors of various organizations and works with community leaders, nonprofits, and civic organizations to identify solutions to some of society’s most pressing needs around social services and education (especially around access to those services, ensuring diversity, and helping make education more accessible to communities in need).

He is a mentor to entrepreneurs, focusing on their attitudes and helping them avoid pitfalls in building a business or serving a community. He helps them identify and develop a plan for their priorities in their next chapter in life.

He is the author of Something More! Essential Attitudes for Building the Life You Want (and avoiding mistakes along the way), the first book in the Something More! series.

As CEO of NectarOM, one of two marketing companies he founded, he advises leaders in Fortune 500 companies and other organizations on strategies for achieving their agendas. He is also a Senior Advisor with McKinsey & Company.

Amrit was honored when selected to join the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program in 2022, recognizing his leadership capabilities and his endeavors for making a positive difference in the world. The program focuses on applying lessons in leadership learned from the presidential experiences of George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson. In 2015, he was selected as a “40 Under 40 Honoree” by the Dallas Business Journal.

With roots in India, his family emigrated when he was ten. His parents were his strongest influencers, and they instilled in him the importance of gratitude and perseverance. Besides modeling life skills for him, they were entrepreneurial, and he learned many business lessons from them.

In his spare time, he enjoys photography (especially taking pictures of people in special moments, rather than scenery), attempting to play golf (especially when occasionally the ball goes where he wants it to go), and he is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His favorite part of each day is when he spends time with his three daughters where the family lives in a suburb of Dallas, Texas.

Amrit graduated with a BBA from the University of Miami. He has an MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and is a guest lecturer there and at the University of Texas. He is also a keynote speaker at industry and business
